Here's a few pics from the North Star Saints recording session that never happened. There's only a couple due to the short amount of time we ended up spending there on the day...and since we forgot to take a camera when we went back for the rescheduled date...but HEY.....a couple's better than none right?

What's everyone been up to the past week?

Had a couple of gigs this week. One with Rightside and one with North Star Saints.

The North Star Saints show was last Friday at the Fishtank in Durham and went okay. I don't think the songs were as tight as usual as we'd been more focussed on getting the material we were planning to record the following day....not that it mattered......

So we'd booked a day's recording at The Bunker in Sunderland but we arrived to the news that the hard drive of the studio's computer was full and for some reason none of the external hard drives were being read by the computer and so we had nothing to record onto.....session cancelled. We are going back in on the 22nd August though so hopefully we will finally have some recordings with me playing drums by the end of the month. 

Had a really good gig with Rightside last night (Monday) at The Head Of Steam in Newcastle. It was one of the pre-shows for the British Music League that we're going to be apart of from September up until June next year. Should have some media and more info about the league up soon. There was another really good band on called The Great Escape...definitely check them out!

Coming up this week...couple of Rightside gigs. One on Friday 14th at "Milefest" at Hexham Auction Mart and on Sunday at Allendale Beer and Music Festival. 

While writing this I have decided that I HATE freeview....or shitty aerials..which ever one is responsible for the awful TV reception we're getting...we've got an ok picture for about half an hour and then it just decides to spaz.....so annoying :(

May have to start watching my TV online.....

Another late blog again! I know I'm rubbish at things like this!

Music-wise last week was pretty slow...had a rehearsal with North Star Saints and that was pretty much all the playing I did last week as moving in to the flat took quite a bit more prep than I originally thought. BUT...we're here and pretty much all settled in :)

Can't wait til I can afford a gym membership...just gonna have to watch what I eat until then!

Again this week is pretty slow band-wise up until the weekend. I will be rehearsing with North Star Saints on Thursday night (also happens to be Nathan's birthday so send him plenty of birthday wishes! I feel bad that I won't be there for half the night :(). Then we are playing the Fishtank in Durham on Friday night and will be in the studio all day Saturday getting our first recordings done with me in the drum chair so hopefully they'll come out good!

Very quiet week for Rightside but keep an eye out next week as we've got a few gigs dotted about :)

Anyways...I better be off....got some practicing to catch up on!
